Detaching From The Outcome With The Law of Attraction

One thing that I know for certain is that worrying about the outcome of what you are desiring to manifest is the surest way to slow it down.

Everything that I have ever manifested happened when I detached from the outcome. When I was free and easy about my desires and didn’t worry, they manifested faster.

A Recent Manifestation Example

A most recent example of this was manifesting a rubber ducky. I subscribed to a law of attraction coach newsletter.

After subscribing, the coach had a video in which she said to manifest a random object. I chose a rubber ducky.

The coach said it would manifest in some way within 24 to 48 hours. For me, it took a bit longer, about five days actually.

I did the visualization process and pictured what the rubber ducky would look like. Five days later, I was watching a food-related YouTube video and the rubber ducky appeared as a dessert!

About a week later, we were walking around the mall and randomly walked into a toy store. Mind you, I had already thought that my manifestation was complete.

I walk down one of the aisles and find this:

It was then that I realized this was my true manifestation as I visualized holding a rubber duck in my hand.

Manifesting little things like that is always fun and good practice. The reason is that you learn how to detach from the outcome. However, you may be thinking that small things are always easy to manifest.

In a way, that is true. For example, I didn’t have any attachment to the rubber ducky in any way. I didn’t care if it showed up so it was easy to detach from the outcome.

So how do you manifest other desires in your life with the same detachment? I’ll explain how I’ve been doing so below.

How I Detach From The Outcome

First, when I am desiring something, I imagine the end result in my mind. I visualize myself doing whatever it is I’m desiring. I imagine what I would be feeling, what I’d be saying, and so on.

After I set my intention and visualize, I do what is often the hardest part for many of us:

  1. I believe without a shadow of a doubt that what I desire will manifest
  2. I understand that whether it happens or not, I’m good.
  3. I don’t worry about how it will come about. That is for the Universe to handle in the most perfect way.

I then go on with my day to day life. I’ll think about my desire and feel happy about it. I also believe that anything that we desire already exists.

By believing without a doubt that the law of attraction always works and that the Universe always has our best and highest interests in mind, then detaching becomes easier.

For me, it has been about working on my belief. Until now, I would put my intention out and then think about what I wanted non-stop.

I thought that by constantly thinking about my desire, I would help it manifest faster because I was believing in my manifestation.

However, what I was doing was holding my manifestation back. Instead, by constantly thinking about what I wanted to manifest, I was thinking about not having it.

My subconscious was instead focusing on thoughts like these:

  • When is it going to happen?
  • It’s taking too long, the law of attraction doesn’t really work
  • It has to show up soon because I’m really believing!

Yeah, not so much. Constantly thinking about your desire is not the same as believing that you already have it.

How To Get Better At Believing Which Makes You Better At Detaching

The first thing to know is that the law of attraction, manifesting, or whatever you want to call it always works.

You can manifest a random object to show up in some form or fashion in your life and just as easily manifest something that you truly desire.

It all works the same way. Once you manifest anything, that is proof that the Universe responds to your requests.

Believe in that. Believe that everything that you could ever desire already exists.

A good book that has helped me with this is A Happy Pocket Full of Money by David Cameron Gikandi.

David does an excellent job of explaining how to manifest. His book is what helped me to change how I believe.

I realized that what I thought was believing and trusting in The Source, God was actually doubting.

Once you have your belief down, then detachment comes easily. A great quote that is a good reminder of this is by Neville Goddard:

“It is not what you want that you attract, you attract what you believe to be true.

Wrapping Up

I often say that I’m not an expert manifester in terms of giving instructions, advice, or coaching. But really, we are all expert manifesters. Some of us realize it sooner than others.
